370 gr GALATHEA Quince jelly

Made by hand and with a limited production, quince jelly, 100% with quinces that are found in the wild in the region of EL BIERZO.  

Jar this canned Quince jelly is made with selected quinces in the region of Bierzo.  Selected once the lint is removed, they are sliced and cooked. Once it is all cooked good is passed through a sieve to make a fine paste and homogeneous. Finally it is packaged in glass jars and sterilized to preserve in time.

products of EL BIERZO by its geographic situation, its soils and climate, EL BIERZO, is a natural land from which we obtain a wide range of products that later we will use for making handcrafted different preserves, either with products from the garden or fruit trees, to be finally tasted in different parts of the country.  

In el Bierzo, canning is a work that has been done for centuries.  With the passage of time, were housewives like performing this work, making a collection of products that Bierzo orchard and fruit trees offered, which packed and consumed throughout the winter.  

The bercian climate enables excellent obtaining from the Bierzo region of fruits and vegetables. Bierzo agriculture is divided into two parts, that of the alto bierzo characterized by a traditional agriculture and low bierzo based on irrigation. Some of the most typical products of el bierzo in culinary wealth are the botillo, the androlla, peppers, Pippin Apple, PEAR Conference, cherries and mencia wines.
